Amanita Muscaria- Original Sculpture- Vintage Treasures

An original sculpture depicting the beautiful Amanita Muscaria coming out of a frame.

The sculpture is meant to create a portal that make the mushrooms look like they are coming out of the frame. The dynamic visual effect of it, brings the forest anywhere it stands.

The frame was the first project from the Vintage Treasure series where I take old objects and transform them and give them a new life. The frame from the sculpture is a thrifted old frame, that went through a transforming process. By sanding, and repainting it, the frame received a brand new image. The mushrooms are then sculpted by hand with no molds, they are later painted and then the composition is formed.

To bring the magic of nature inside the sculpture, natural points of Quartz and natural, stabilized lichens were used to surround the Amanitas.

The frame comes with a metallic stand, but has also a stand on its own or it can be hanged on a wall.
